Platforms

Options for Everyone

Keep it simple with Shopify

80% of retailers will do fine with Shopify. In fact, when possible, we recommend Shopify over Magento because of the lower costs and user friendliness of the platform.

That being said, in terms of scalability, we still recommend larger enterprises to go with Magento

Best for:

  • Retailers who have less than 1000 different products
  • 3 or less filterable product attributes (e.g. size, brand, color, gender, material, specifications, etc.)
  • Little to no integration requirements with existing systems (e.g. POS, Inventory Management, etc.)
  • Little to no customization requirements (e.g. customized checkout, customized shipping fees, customized promotions).

Scale it up with Magento

While Shopify works well for small to medium retailers, large corporations and enterprises might be more comfortable with Magento.

Being an open source platform, there is very little that cannot be done in terms of the features and functions that you want for your site.

The deployment also allows for easy management of thousands of products and orders.

Best for:

  • Retailers who have more than 1000 different products
  • Products with a lot of information and details (e.g. electronics and automative products)
  • Integrations with enterprise software (API based)
  • Advanced features and customizations

Mobile Responsive

An average of over 60% of the visitors we get are browsing through a mobile device. That’s why every site we develop is mobile responsive out of the box.

Other developers might charge for this, but with shift in browsing habits, we believe that having a site that looks and works as good on mobile as it does on desktop is no longer an option, but a requirement for any e-commerce site

Fast and Secure

Did you know that  a 1 second delay in response time can result in a 7% drop in the number of people buying from your site?

All our sites are are deployed with a CDN which helps us deliver an average server response time of less than 0.3 seconds on average.

Our servers are also optmized for the high transaction and interaction expected from an e-commerce site, along with SSL, DDOS protection, and WAF to protect against online threaths.

Evolving UI/UX

The way people shop online is continously changing, why shouldn’t your site?

We stay updated on the latest User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) trends and research so that we can give you what we believe would work best for your needs.

Let your site adapt to the gradual changes in user behavior, staying fresh and relevant along the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?

Our site development services start out at $1000 for Shopify theme based builds, and $2000 for Magento theme based builds. If you’d like a completely customized solution, we’ll provide a proposal once we do an initial scope of your requirements.

Do you do non e-commerce site development?

Yes! Static websites are a lot easier to develop, so we’re more than happy to accommodate requests for these.

Do you provide the designs?

We’ll recommend theme based designs which we’ll then customize to your liking. If you’d like us to design everything from scratch, we can do that as well, but is charged as a separate item and will add-on to the timeline.

Can I use another e-commerce platform?

Yes! Another popular option would be Woocommerce. However, based on experience, Woocommerce on WordPress is still more of “e-commerce as an afterthought” vs “e-commerce as a focus”. We always recommend either Shopify or Magento for the sake of scalability.

How long does site development take?

If you’re going for a theme based build, site development would take around 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the level of customization that you’d like. If it’s a completely customized build, development would take around 3 to 6 months. These are estimates, and actual timelines could be shorter or longer depending on the project specifics.

What does site development include?

Site development doesn’t only entail development. Each project entails a mix of the following:

  • Requirement Scoping
  • Planning and Research
  • Design Customization
  • Front-end Development
  • Back-end Configuration
  • Content Population
  • Server Configuration and Migration
  • Domain Configuration
  • CDN Configuration
  • Google Analytics Configuration
